Red-tailed Hawk Turning on Tree Branch
One of the great things about winter is the ease in spotting birds perched in trees. In this photo, a Red-tailed Hawk (buteo Jamaicensis) had been facing me while I snapped pictures. It must have tired of looking at me for it did a 180 degree counter clockwise turn on the branch and continued to perch there with its back to me.
