A Green Heron heard me and took a peek.
After posting "Green Heron in Flight" a few days ago, I wanted a better photo. So I went back to the salt marsh to see if the heron was still aound. I had never seen a Green Heron there before. It wasn't one of the salt marsh "regulars." I staked out the general area where I thought it hung out in the weeds. A couple hours later, this is what I clicked.
This Green Heron lives in the tall weeds and comes out into its backyard to feed.
