There were two Green Herons (Butorides virescens) fishing along mudflats in a salt marsh. Occasionally, one of the Herons would fly over to another mudflat.
When an Osprey dives for a fish, it goes into the water feet first making a big splash. It uses it wings to get to the surface as seen in this photo and then to get airborne. I'm always full of anticipation to see if the Osprey caught the fish.
