Normally Egrets do not fly in groups. But when a threat enters the salt marsh such an Eagle, they leave en masse.
There were two Green Herons (Butorides virescens) fishing along mudflats in a salt marsh. Occasionally, one of the Herons would fly over to another mudflat.
